Reports in news that he had seen a doctor recently regarding chest pains. Not sure if true but tragic if warnings were missed.

Two things
1. That ball to Gatting. Unplayable.

2. Shagged Liz Hurley in her prime.

Good highlights

Kaiser. Murali was a great bowler but he wasn't in the same space as Warne. He had a cloud over him always because of his action, whereby Warne didn't

Some more info coming out now..

Shane Warne's four friends battled for 20 minutes to save his life after he suffered a suspected heart attack at a villa in Thailand.

The Australian cricket star, 52, had been on holiday on the island of Koh Samui when he was found unresponsive on Friday afternoon.

Police Senior Sergeant Major Suporn Hemruangsree said the group were asleep when one of Warne’s friends attempted to wake him but could not do so.

Warne’s friends performed CPR for around 20 minutes before emergency services arrived at the scene and took him to the Thai International Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

On Saturday, Warne’s manager James Erskine explained that the group had been going out to get a drink at around 5pm.

“[They] knocked on his door at 5.15pm because Warnie was always on time and said: ‘C’mon you’re going to be late,’ and then realised something was wrong,” he said.

Local media reported that the Wat Plai Leam rescue team was called around 5.30pm and discovered Warne unconscious at the property.

Rescue team chief Phet Boonrak said: “His friends were so shocked. They said they had found him unconscious on the bed and moved him to the floor to attempt CPR.

“In the room, there was vomit on the floor but no sign of injuries. The ambulance arrived within 15 minutes, they took him to the hospital immediately.”

In a tragic final Instagram post just hours before his death, the leg-spin bowler had shared a picture his Thai villa captioned: “Good night from Koh Samui”.

Warner’s management confirmed his death in a statement on Friday, writing: “Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived.

Re: Shane Warne out for 52
FMOB was there when he took his 700th wicket at the MCG horrible news.. So many having heart attacks.. Why could that be

Oh and he was very biased when commentating on the cricket on Australian TV.. But then again you're not in a position to comment on that are you.. So why don't you turn it in you hypocritical cunt.. You spend half of your time pulling others up on their posts and the other half pulling others up for pulling you up on yours.. Lack of self awareness comedy poster..

Re: Shane Warne out for 52
fraser - Turn it in. Your ONLY comment on this thread was to have a sly pop at Warne. He wasn't a biased commentator. A bit strange for a Cricket lover and for someone that lived in Aus for quite a long time. But there you go, never mind eh.

Sadly, he's not offering bait, he's taken a massive chomp on some.

Sorry Manuel, how was me saying it was horrible news having a dig and not offering my condolences ffs, and you have the front to call others stalkers.

He was from Melbourne and I had friends in common, I'm gutted that he has passed.

Just cause I didn't type the words condolences and R.I.O

During the Ashes in 2005 I came out of a club in London after a meeting at the back of the Savoy, as I pushed the door open I heard this yelp and I had opened it onto his elbow as he was lighting a fag.

Said sorry and had a brief chat and he came over as a thoroughly nice guy.

May have gone young but I bet that he enjoyed those years he was with us to the maximum...

I liked him.

I see the Premier of Victoria has offered the Warne family a state funeral.
And the Great Southern Stand at the MCG will be renamed the SK Warne Stand.

Re: Shane Warne out for 52
I really didn't care for him during his playing career.
He was one of a number of players in that era who gave the Australian test side a reputation for arrogance.
Sure, if you're the best in your field you can be excused a little of that, but a number of those guys took it to ELEVEN.
I think what I say there is generally accepted.

HOWEVER, I warmed to him significantly in the last 5 or 6 years. He was certainly interesting to listen to in commentary.
But more to the point, his appearances on the Australian version of 'I'm a Celebrity .....' made me realise that he and I had a few things in common.
Cricketing prowess and being a 'babe hound' ........ well ... not so much.
But there were a few things, one of which being his aversion to spiders.
One of the trials being that a number of camp members had to allow a big hairy spider to sit on their hand for 30 seconds.
I think there were 4 or 5 others that had to do it, and they all did so. SKW was last, and was having GREAT difficulty coming to terms with the task at hand.
It probably didn't help that the spider's handler had told them "If it bites you, DON'T flick it".

But fair play to him, he eventually managed to get it done, and the team earned their reward.

I'm genuinely saddened by this passing

RIP Shane Warne

Pony - Yep, A very strange post. Said there will be some gutted Aussies on here, even though there has been 100+ posts from gutted Brits. And the resident Aussie expert and hater fraser managed to slip in a dig too, without even offering up any condolences for Warne himself.

I like the way on ALL cricket related threads, Kenzo feels he has to remind anyone that is still reading how very much he hates cricket. What a strange bellend.

Oh yeah and RIP etc.

Doesn't matter how many times I've seen and read this today it still doesn't seem real.
Proper legend, amazing player and a geezer.
Great commentator as well with amazing knowledge of the game.
Will be sorely missed.
